Less than a week after helping her team achieve a new single-game steals record, freshman Sha'Nice Storey added some individual history in the Urban Knights' 81-53 victory over Western Oregon on Dec. 13. Storey tied the Academy of Art University record with eight steals complemented by 13 points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Hot from long range and locked in defensively, Storey tossed in a trio of 3-pointers that afternoon and offered four steals in each half. Six of the eight steals led to points for ART U which would contribute to the squad's 39 points off turnovers and serve as the difference in the game. The Portland, OR native's eight steals matched the mark originally set by Devin London last season.

“I've been trying to read where the passes are going to go so that was my main focus and I think I did a pretty good job,” Storey said. “I was just really pumped up after I got my first steal and they kept coming.”
