Freshman Michelle Dandik Zaale delivered a memorable collegiate debut this past weekend, helping the ART U Women's Tennis team to its best start in program history with five consecutive wins in the Grand Canyon Tournament. The Montreal, Quebec, Canada native was a perfect 4-0 in singles action highlighted by a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the #1 position against Chaminade and a triumph in three sets (6-4, 1-6, 10-7) against the #2 for Western New Mexico.

"Michelle won the first set, withstood a furious comeback by her opponent, and won in a well-played tie-break for the third set," head coach Jerry Peach said.

In doubles action, Dandik Zaale teammed with Lucia Zavarcikova for another 4-0 sweep of their opponents. That pairing truly dominated as they won 32 of 36 total sets played including an 8-0 victory over Metro State's #2 team.
