At the 36th San Diego State Aztec Invitational, freshman Mistic Scott delivered two steller individual sprint performances in addition to a season-best in the 4x400m relay. She started the weekend by dominating the 200m dash with a new personal best of 25.04 that put her first of 55 competitors. In the 400m, Scott turned in her second PR of the Aztec Invite, finishing eighth with a time of 55.93. Finally, Scott joined Dinesha Bean, Dierra Haven, and Keanna Moody for the women's 4x400m who went 3:43.48 for second in the meet having dropped over two full seconds off their previous mark from the Hornet Invitational.

"Mistic above all others had the break-out performances of the weekend," head coach Charles Ryan said. "She had huge breakthroughs in both the 400m and 200m so if you asked me to name an MVP of the weekend it was easily Mistic Scott. If she continues along this development path, she could be a game changer for us this year."
