Junior guard Zoie Sheng turned in a rather memorable day in the start of Pacific West Conference play for ART U Women's Basketball on Dec. 6. Sheng posted a career-high 30 points on 9-for-14 shooting from the field (4-for-6 3PT, 8-for-9 FT) along with four steals and two assists at Notre Dame de Namur.

After three 3-pointers helped her to 17 points in the first half, she guided Academy of Art in its late-game free throw battle with the Argos. Sheng is up to third in the PacWest in free throw percentage (.889) and is the current leader in attempts with 60 through eight games thus far.

She is just the second ART U player ever to score 30 points or more with her teammate Storey (31) the other. Sheng's previous career-high was 22 points which came against Humboldt State on Nov. 16, 2013.

"Zoie is playing the best basketball of her career and she is great at stepping up and scoring when the opportunity arises while running the team at the same time," said head coach LaNay Larson. "I thought she played really hard on both ends of the court and she is exhibiting the consistency we want from top to bottom."
