Junior forward Krystal Forthan delivered a strong week against two of the toughest teams the Pacific West Conference has to offer in California Baptist and Azusa Pacific. Averaging 20.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game, Forthan was a force to be reckoned with particularly down the stretch as she made important baskets for the Urban Knights in both wins.

On Dec. 16 hosting CBU, Forthan helped lead a 43-point second half which saw Academy of Art pull away in the final two minutes and 30 seconds. Scoring a crucial layup to put her squad ahead 72-68, Forthan finished with 14 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.

The Portland, Oregon native then celebrated her birthday in a big way on Dec. 20 against Azusa Pacific, posting an over-sized double-double in the form of 27 points and 17 rebounds (each one shy of tying her career-high). Though ART U trailed for over 30 minutes of the contest, Forthan rose to the occasion by scoring the team's final 10 points in the final 2:20 including the game-winning jumper with 34 seconds left and free throws to seal it.

Forthan now ranks third in the PacWest Conference in scoring (17.0 points per game) and is Top 8 in rebounding (9.2 rpg), field goal percentage (43.6 FG%), and blocks (1.4 bpg).
