In his final weekend as a collegiate track athlete, Edwards went out in style, defending his national title in the 400m, becoming an All-American in the 200m and 4x400m relay, and helping Academy of Art to its highest finish yet at NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Nationals on Mar. 12.

Having put the work in to reach the 400m finals for the second straight year, Edwards contested the opening heat and made a dramatic push across the finish line to defeat Clafin's Brandon Valetntine-Parris by 0.02 and the second heat's winner by 0.01 with a season best-time of 47.02.

Turning around for the 200m finals not long thereafter, Edwards claimed eighth, but not by much, posting a time of 21.613 that was 0.001 behind McKendree's Demontez McCray in seventh.

In the men's 4x400m, Edwards joined his teammates for a gutsy 3:12.48 which was only a few seconds from earning ART U a national title, but still gave them All-American honors. The Academy of Art men's team would make program history, taking third place with 39.0 points scored.
