Senior infielder Tyler Strawn was named Athlete of the Week after a stellar eight games against California Baptist (April 1 and 2) and Hawaii Pacific (March 28 and 29).
 
Strawn batted .588 (10-for-17) against CBU who owns the PacWest’s lowest earned run average. The senior went 7-for-9 with two runs batted in during the series’ first two games and 9-for-13 after three. Strawn saw his batting average rise from .278 to a team-leading .320 over the weekend. Coupled with his 4-for-14 performance with two doubles and an RBI earlier in the week against HPU, Strawn’s overall weekly batting average stood at .452.
