Junior Paula Alcantara was named one of this week’s Urban Knights of the Week after being one of just two Knights to go 2-0 in singles over the weekend. The native of Madrid, Spain defeated her Division I, San Jose State opponent 6-3, 6-3. Then, against Stanislaus State, she followed up with another strong performance, nearly sweeping her adversary with a 6-1, 6-1 score. Alcantara also performed well in third doubles, going 1-1 overall while earning an 8-3 victory alongside junior Monika Stanikova against the Warriors on February 4.
