Following a week in which he competed in eight events at the Pacific West Conference Championships, Grant Swinton was at it again this weekend, contesting six events across the Azusa Pacific Twilight & Multi on May 10 and the Oxy Invitational on May 11 while posting NCAA Division II Nationals provisional marks in all six. After running his fastest 400m time of the season (47.52) in Azusa, Swinton dropped down to a 47.45 at the Oxy Invite and settled in at 32nd in the country and fourth in program history. Swinton's 200m mark at the Azusa Pacific Twilight & Multi, 21.26, cut nearly 0.10 off his season-best from the Florida Relays, was good for third in Academy of Art history, and elevated him to 46th in DII as a Nationals provisional.

On top of his individual success, Swinton contributed to multiple relays, working with Christian Carter, Kaze Poitier, and Roshard Williams to deliver the fourth-fastest 4x400m time in ART U history at 3:11.36 (13th in DII) in Azusa. The following day, Swinton joined Ajomale, Carter, and Arrun Palacio for a 40.90 that was a NCAA Nationals provisional (33rd in DII) and the fastest that particular team has run together this year.
