In his final collegiate competition, Mobolade Ajomale signed off on an incredible Academy of Art career at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in Kingsville, Texas on May 25. In the finals of three events, Ajomale solidified his place in history as a 10-time National Champion and 20-time All-American, going out as the winner of the 200m.

After two days of prelims leading up, the Richmond Hill, Canada native began the last day by delivering a blistering second leg of the All-American 4x100m relay team which finished sixth at 41.40. He was then runner-up in the 100m at 10.22, coming across the line just 0.05 back of champion Jonte Baker of Tiffin. And, roughly an hour later, he stepped onto the track for the 200m, the final race of his career. The 2016 Olympic bronze medalist dominated the senior-laden field with a season-best 20.80 for the win. He became just the fourth male student-athlete to go back-to-back in 200m since the era officially began in 1976.
