In her final two games as a collegiate student-athlete, graduate student guard Tayler Bennett went out breaking records. Putting in seven 3-pointers in the pair of contests, she finished as the new Academy of Art women's basketball single-season record-holder for three-point field goals made.
The Interior Architecture & Design major started the week by scoring 15 points with two triples, four assists, and five steals to tie her season-high in the team's final home game versus Point Loma on
Feb. 27. Needing four 3-pointers to break the program's single-season record, Bennett did one better with five triples two days later at Notre Dame de Namur on
Feb. 29, helping her go out with a game-high 22 points to led the Urban Knights to a 74-65 victory.
On the week, Bennett averaged 18.5 points, 3.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 2.5 rebounds per game. She ended the year as the PacWest's leader in three-point field goals made (3.1), ranked second in three-point field goal percentage (.352), fifth in steals per game (2.1), and 11th in points per game (15.2).
