It was a big week for Asante while at the PacWest Championships, falling just shy of a double-double in each game though he did average that over all three contests with an average of 13.0 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game, going off for a high of 16 points in the final against APU. His effort not only led him to being named a PacWest All-Tournament selection and the Tournament MVP, the Urban Knights collected not just their first ever victory at the tournament when they defeated host school Fresno Pacific, ART U defeated both #1 seed Point Loma and #2 seed Azusa Pacific to capture the program's first PacWest tournament title. Additionally, Asante 3.33 assists per game, 1.67 steals per game and 1.0 block per game.
