Competing in five different events for Academy of Art track & field at the Pacific West Conference Championships on Apr. 30, Shareez Hamm scored over 28 points for the Urban Knights. He began the busy day by teaming with Kaze Poitier, Daquan Berry, and Duncan Agyemang to capture the 4x100m title with a time of 40.95, more than half a second faster than the next closest quartet.

Hamm then turned in a personal record 14.46 in the 110m hurdles to become PacWest Champion in the event for the first time in his career while adding Outdoor Nationals provisional qualification. The Photography major then proceeded to sweep the hurdles events, defending his 400mH crown with a 52.62 effort that put him inside the country’s top 20. Hamm would add fourth-place results in both the 400m and 4x400m relay as well.
