Standing out during the opening two games of the season for Academy of Art men's basketball was senior guard Klay Brown, helping the Urban Knights to their third 2-0 start in program history thanks to consecutive 20-point performances (20.5 per game). Opening the season with a 78-68 comeback win over SF State, he set his new ART U high as he dropped 21 points that was buoyed by 50.0 percent (4-for-8) shooting from downtown. Meanwhile, he followed that up with 20 on the nose in a 77-70 defeat of Sonoma State, leading the game in points, rebounds (eight) and assists (five). In total, he averaged 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocks over the two games.
