Academy of Art University Athletics

For the second consecutive year, junior Amos Maru brought home the individual Pacific West Conference crown this past week. With an incredible career run, Maru placed 1st at the 2010 Hawaiian Airlines PacWest Conference Championships on Nov. 6 in Turtle Bay, HI. In addition, Maru's time (24:33.1) tied his best mark on an 8k course since he joined Academy of Art University.

Maru finished the race nearly a full 20 seconds ahead of the next non-Academy of Art University runner. It was his sixth time leading the ART U charge this season and his second 1st place finish of 2010.
