This Saturday, Feb. 13 marks the first of two meetings with Notre Dame de Namur this season and the game comes as the final event of Homecoming Week at Academy of Art University.

SCOUTING THE ARGONAUTS:
Similarly to AAU, Notre Dame de Namur University has been battling through a tough season. After opening up their 2009-10 campaign with a 76-69 win over Pacific Union on Nov. 16, the Argonauts lost their next nine games including a pair of defeats in the Humboldt State Tournament that also featured the Knights. NDNU closed out its non-conference season with a 70-69 victory over Menlo College of the NAIA on Jan. 1, but the Argos have not been able to achieve a win in PacWest play to date. Guard Bennie Murray leads the team with a 13.3 points per game scoring average, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 33 made 3-pointers this season. Murray has also gotten scoring help from guard Chris Silzer who averages 9.7 points per contest and has posted team-highs of 18 points and 16 points on NDNU's most recent Hawaii roadtrip.
KNOX ACHIEVES SEASON-HIGH BUT KNIGHTS FALL TO CUH:
Academy of Art University's four-game road swing in Hawaii concluded with a 85-70 loss to Chaminade this past Saturday, Feb. 5. The Urban Knights got on the board first with a three-point play from sophomore forward
Hunter Hayden, but a 24-2 push by the Silverswords shifted the momentum. Freshman guard
Jordan Knox came off the bench and later scored eight consecutive points, but CUH still took a 55-35 advantage into halftime. A 13-5 burst by AAU opened up the second period and while the visitors came as close as 11 points in the half, Chaminade held on.
Knox finished with a season-high 19 points in 29 minutes and junior guard
Phillip Samuel matched his career-high of four made 3-pointers as part of his 16 points in total.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Four more road contests are on the horizon for Academy of Art men's basketball this season. After facing NDNU, the Knights will be in San Rafael, CA on Feb. 18 for a pairing against Dominican University (CA) and then a rematch versus the Argos comes on Feb. 22 in Belmont, CA.
