Starting the evening of Tuesday, April 9th, the Academy of Art University Cheer and Dance team ("The ART U Spirit Crew") will be offering a weekly open gym at its Jerrold facility to all Academy of Art students who are interested. The 7pm-8pm practice will continue every Tuesday until the end of spring semester.

"Open gym is an opportunity to work on our fitness and flexibility, and to learn and create cheers & routines!" head coach Lauren Smith said.

A shuttle will pick up from 620 Sutter at 6:45pm then the return shuttle will pick up from Jerrold at 8:15 to drop off at 620 Sutter & the Montgomery BART station. 

The ART U Spirit Crew is comprised of two teams, Coed Cheer and Dance. These teams will support the University and Athletic Department at all home basketball and volleyball games as well as special appearances, photo shoots, events and fundraisers. They are also active in the community as a face for the University. The ART U Spirit Crew's goal is to create individuals who are successful both on and off the performance floor.
