12746KNIGHT WATCH
Through three games this season, four Urban Knights are averaging doubles figures offensively, led by senior guard Zoie Sheng's 18.0 points per game. She adds 5.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Senior guard Regina Camera is delivering 15.7 points per game, senior guard Jasmin Guinn contributes 14.0 points and a team-high 7.3 rebounds per game, and senior guard Sha'Nice Storey comes in at 10.0 points per game. The quartet are all nearing 1,000 career points, a feat never before accomplished by an Academy of Art women's basketball athlete. Storey (970) is the closest while Sheng sits just eight points behind (962), Camera is nine back (961), and Guinn (927) needs 73 points to reach the milestone.

SIMON SAYS
After going 15-13 overall and reaching the semifinals of last season's GNAC Championship Tournament, Simon Fraser has been picked to finish fifth in the conference standings in the preseason coaches poll. Fourth in the GNAC last year, the Clan return seven letter winners, having lost four including GNAC Player of the Year Erin Chambers, who set a conference scoring record with 23.9 points per game. Meg Wilson, 2014-15 Honorable Mention All-GNAC, is the team's leading returning scorer (12.9 ppg) and rebounder (8.7 rpg). In three historical meetings, SFU leads ART U 3-0.

REMEMBERING THE STING
Despite a 14-14 overall record last year, Montana State Billings was 6-12 in GNAC play and finished tied for seventh in the standings. That is where the Yellowjackets are slated to end up once again as chosen by the GNAC coaches. MSUB, who loses First Team All-GNAC forward Kayleen Goggins (second in conference in scoring), returns seven letter winners including Janiel Olson who missed the entire 2014-15 season with a torn ACL. Olson was the 2014 GNAC Defensive Player of the Year and a member of the First Team in her junior season. She is joined by Honorable Mention All-GNAC Alisha Breen, who averaged 15.5 points per game and 7.6 rebounds last season. The team's lone historical meeting came in the first round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament and ended up going the Yellowjackets' way 60-59 after two potential ART U game-winners did not fall.

ACADEMY OF ART PUSHES ANCHORAGE TO BRINK
Battling the top-ranked team in NCAA Division II last season in Alaska Anchorage as part of the CCA DII Tipoff Classic, Academy of Art University women's basketball offered its best performance of the season on both sides of the ball on Nov. 1. The Urban Knights hit the second-most 3-pointers in program history (13) and forced a season-high 24 turnovers, but it was not enough to overcome the Seawolves who won 87-82 inside Cal State Dominguez Hills' Torodome.

LOOKING AHEAD
Following this week, ART U continues with its third of four non-conference tournaments before PacWest play begins in December. Next up for Academy of Art will be the Notre Dame de Namur Classic Tournament which will match the Knights up with Stanislaus State (Nov. 20) and Central Washington (Nov. 21).
