KNIGHT WATCH

Through the first two games of the 2016-17 season, junior guard
Rodericka Ware is the team's leading scorer at 14.5 points per game, putting her seventh in the PacWest Conference. A total of 21 of her 29 points have come from beyond the three-point arc (her 3.5 3-pointers made per game are tied for the conference lead) while she averages a team-high 2.5 steals along with 2.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game. WEDNESDAY WARRIORS
Picked to finish second by the coaches in the CCAA, its highest predicted finish since 1998, Stanislaus State comes off a 2015-16 season highlighted by the Warriors' program-best record in nearly a decade and their first CCAA Tournament berth. Despite a 0-2 start with losses to Central Washington and Concordia Portland, Stan State has heavily relied on one of its three 2015-16 All-CCAA players, Reana Hardin and Cassidy Sanders-Curry, thus far. Shooting over 52 percent from the field, Hardin is the team's leading scorer at 15.0 points per game. The ART U's 76-66 victory over the Warriors last season featured three 1,000-point milestones and put the Knights ahead 2-1 in the all-time matchup.
ART U MAKES SEASON DEBUT IN ALASKA
Academy of Art women's basketball showed its variety of new talent in a pair of games up north this past weekend. On
Nov. 11, the Knights had three players score in double figures in a 93-69 loss to Alaska then turned around to face No. 10 Alaska Anchorage
the next evening. Though ART U outscored UAA 22-19 in the second quarter, the Seawolves would prevail 86-49.
LOOKING AHEAD
A three-game week is on the horizon as Academy of Art will play its first home game of the season on Nov. 23 before entering the Cal State East Bay Thanksgiving Tournament with Humboldt State (Nov. 26) and CSUEB (Nov. 27) on tap.
