The heptathlon began with four events on Wednesday, Apr. 12 which included Hensley's automatic qualifying 5-10 (1.78m) in the high jump. Woch came back with the ninth-farthest javelin throw 117-5 (35.80m) and the Hensley/Woch duo ended up taking 20th and 21st respectively in the 800m conclusion. In the end, Hensley finished eighth with a total of 5049 that was not far from the 5180 automatic qualifying standard and puts her among the country's top 10. Woch's 4676 made her a NCAA provisional qualifier as well.
