2018 Cal State East Bay Invitational Results (Day 1)

Though just three Urban Knights from the Academy of Art University track & field team were in action at the Stanislaus State Multi and Cal State East Bay Invitational on Friday, the result was still one historic mark across the bay.

HAYWARD, Calif. – On a light first day out at Chabot College to start the Cal State East Bay Invitational, the women's 3000m Steeplechase was the highlight for ART U.

Madeline Dignadice not only bested a three-year record in the event, but did so by more than 27 seconds. Her first time running the event collegiately saw her go 11:42.39 across the finish line.

TURLOCK, Calif. – Concluding the two-day Stanislaus State Multi, both Folke Woch and Briaunna Caver finished in the top 10 of the Heptathlon.

After her season-best 37-2.5 (11.34m) in the shot put highlighted the first day, Woch finished eighth overall with a total of 4068 points while Caver came in right behind her at 4012.

Academy of Art resumes the Cal State East Bay Invitational tomorrow with a full slate of action beginning at 8:30 a.m. back at Chabot College.
