SAN DIEGO – In the second and final match of their Southern California road trip, Academy of Art men's soccer fell to Point Loma 2-0 on Saturday at PLNU Soccer Field. 

The Sea Lions first struck in the 38th minute on a goal from David Achaerandio. He received a deep ball, cut into the penalty box, and scored on a left footed shot to the bottom right corner of the net, giving PLNU a 1-0 lead. 

The Urban Knights did well to keep the Sea Lions off the board for most of the rest of the game, but in the 87th minute Tim Siegfried found the net. PLNU went on to take the match 2-0.

Sophomore forward Fannar Omarsson led ART U in shots with two, including one on goal. Five other Urban Knights recorded shots with one more on goal by sophomore midfielder Edvard Edvarsson and sophomore goalkeeper Davis King notched five saves.  

After the loss, ART U falls to 0-9-1 overall and 0-4-1 in conference. Academy of Art will return home to face Holy Names on Oct. 22 at Paul Goode Field with a 1 p.m. kickoff.
