2018-19 All-Pacific West Conference Women's Basketball Team
IRVINE, Calif. – An integral part of the Academy of Art women's basketball season in 2018-19, sophomore forward
Lily Perkins was among the individuals awarded postseason honors in a Wednesday announcement by the Pacific West Conference office. The Urban Knights' leading scorer in six of the team's final eight games, Perkins was selected for All-PacWest Team Honorable Mention.

"Lily came to ART U with high expectations, faced some early injuries, but she kept pushing and proved she could fight through adversity, score on all three levels, play at a high level for long stretches of time, rebound, and play the passing lanes," said interim head coach
Krystle Evans. "She could have gone anywhere, but chose ART U to accomplish great things and understands there is still unfinished business. I am extremely happy for her and proud of her teammates for putting her in a position to be acknowledged."
In her first season with ART U, Perkins demonstrated her tremendous scoring ability while adding production in various other categories as well. She completed the regular season ranked 10th in the PacWest in scoring (15.0 points per game), sixth in steals per game (2.1), and 15th in assists per game (2.4). Her scoring average was tied for the eighth-highest by an Urban Knight in program history.
Perkins had some of her best games wearing an Academy of Art home jersey. She erupted for a career-high 27 points and also grabbed a career-high nine rebounds for the third time in a Feb. 1 matchup hosting Dominican on
Feb. 1. Three weeks later on
Feb. 21, the West Covina native amassed a career-high six steals on Senior Night against Notre Dame de Namur to match the highest steal total of any Urban Knight in 2018-19. Over the course of ART U's last eight games, Perkins was relied upon heavily, averaging 22.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.1 steals per contest.
This is the first All-PacWest honor in Perkins' career.
