2021 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-Region
NEW ORLEANS --Â With the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships a little over a week away, Academy of Art University track & field concluded its 2021 indoor regular season with a total of 36 All-Region honors as announced by the nation's foremost track and field organization on Tuesday.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded All-Region to the top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three, meaning 16 members of the Urban Knights men's squad and 20 women were selected.
Leading a men's team ranked
third in the West Region (as of Mar. 1) was
Omodiaogbe Oboh (400m, 4x400m, DMR) with three honors while two apiece went to
Elliot Slade (800m, DMR),
James Young (Mile, DMR),
Daquan Berry (60m, 4x400m),
Makarios Page (400m, 4x400m), and
Abdelouakil Mustapha (800m, DMR). The trio of
Hudson Lockette (Mile),
Lennard Marshall (400m), and
Shareez Hamm (4x400m) collected singular selections.
For a women's team also ranked
third in the West Region (as of Mar. 1),
Selena Arjona-Alcazar (60m, 200m, 4x400m) had the most awards followed by pairs for
Marie-Jeanne Ourega (LJ, TJ),
Darria Matthias (60m, 200m),
Audrey Rosencrans (3000m, 5000m),
Alice Coisne (400m, 4x400m),
Audrey Courand (60mH, 4x400m),
Hava Turner (DMR, 4x400m),
Hasna Kaarour (3000m, DMR), and
Natalia Novak (Mile, DMR) plus one final honor for
Lina Hanich (DMR).
The ART U men's and women's teams will be in action at the 2021 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships in Birmingham, Alabama next week on Mar. 11-13.
