STOCKTON, Calif. – Facing its first and only NCAA Division I opponent of the regular season on Tuesday evening, Academy of Art offered balanced scoring but could not overcome an early push by Pacific in a 90-26 result won by the home team inside Alex G. Spanos Center.
After the Tigers opened the game with a 12-0 run, freshman guard
Madison Johnson's pullup jumper put ART U on the board before sophomore guard
Jadence Clifton added a 3-pointer in the final minute of the first quarter. Senior guard
Lauryn Manns converted a three-point play in the first portion of the second frame and freshman guard
Kyla Wandick added free throws late as Pacific carried a 48-17 advantage into the half.

Christy Ojide provided a layup via an offensive rebound putback minutes later, but the Tigers' lead continued to grow over the contest's final portion before settling at 90-26 at the last buzzer.
Academy of Art moves to 0-5 overall this season yet the Knights recorded nine steals to make it now three consecutive games with that total or more. Ojide had two of those thefts to go with seven points, four rebounds, and two blocks while Clifton chipped in six points along with three steals and three assists.
Improving to 3-2 on the year, Pacific was led by Anaya James' triple-double taking the form of 21 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds.
It will be more than a week before ART U returns to action, but when the Urban Knights do it will be to start Pacific West Conference play on the road at Point Loma on Dec. 1.
