2022 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-Region
NEW ORLEANS – Closing in on this week's NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships, Academy of Art University track & field concluded its 2022 indoor regular season with a total of 38 All-Region honors as announced by the nation's foremost track and field organization on Tuesday.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded All-Region to the top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three, meaning nine members of the Urban Knights men's squad and nine women were selected.
Leading a men's team rankedÂ
15th in NCAA DII (second in West Region) was the trio ofÂ
Duncan Agyemang (60m, 400m, 4x400m),
Shareez Hamm (60mH, 400m, 4x400m), and
Ajani Ince (60m, 200m, 4x400m) with three honors apiece.
Makarios Page (400m, 4x400m) followed with selections in a pair of events while
Daquan Berry (200m),
Daniel Cortes Gonzalez (High Jump),
Yacouba Gnacko (Triple Jump),
Abdelouakil Mustapha (800m), and
Mathieu Tshani (Triple Jump) each picked up singular honors.
For a women's team also rankedÂ
sixth nationally (second in West Region), the dynamic duo of
Ombretta Picciolie Minkue Meye (60m, 200m, 400m, 4x400m) and
Natalia Novak (800m, Mile, 3000m, DMR) each had four selections apiece.
Selena Arjona-Alcazar (60m, 200m, 4x400m) and
Marie-Jeanne Ourega (60mH, Triple Jump, Long Jump)Â were next, combining for honors in six different events. Two awards were bestowed upon
Alice Coisne (4x400m, DMR),
Delanie Dykes (Mile, DMR),
Lina Hanich (800m, DMR) while singular selections for
Erine Collard (4x400m) and
Audrey Rosencrans (5000m) rounded out the collection.
The ART U men's and women's teams will be in action at the 2022 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas on Mar. 11-12.
