2022 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region
NEW ORLEANS – Weeks removed from both teams finishing among the top 10 at the
NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships, Academy of Art University track & field completed its outdoor season with a total of 32 All-Region honors as announced by the nation's foremost track and field organization on Wednesday.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded All-Region to the top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three, meaning 11 members of the Urban Knights men's squad and six women were selected.
Leading a men's team that finished tied for 10th at Outdoor Nationals (first in West Region) was
Duncan Agyemang (100m, 400m, 4x100m, 4x400m) with four honors followed byÂ
Shareez Hamm (400mH, 4x100m, 4x400m) with three to his name.
Daquan Berry (200m, 4x100m) added two selections then singular honors went to
Daniel Cortes Gonzalez (High Jump),
Yacouba Gnacko (Triple Jump),
Saba Khvichava (3000m Steeplechase),
Abdelouakil Mustapha (800m),
Mathieu Tshani (Triple Jump),
Makarios Page (4x400m),
Kaze Poitier (4x400m), and
Ajani Ince (4x100m).
For a women's team that ended fourth at Outdoor Nationals (first in West Region), the squad was paced by four honors for
Marie-Jeanne Ourega (100mH, Long Jump, Triple Jump, 4x100m) then
Selena Arjona-Alcazar (100m, 200m, 4x100m) and
Natalia Novak (800m, 1500m, 5000m) each added three selections apiece. Two awards were bestowed upon
Audrey Rosencrans (3000m Steeplechase, 10000m) and
Ombretta Picciolie Minkue Meye (800m, 4x100m) while a singular selection forÂ
Darria Matthias (4x100m) completed out the collection.
