2023 Bryan Clay Invitational Results (Day 1)

AZUSA, Calif. – Nearly breaking the Academy of Art 3000m steeplechase record on Thursday evening inside Cougar Stadium, Katharina Goetschl started the Urban Knights' three days of competition in the Bryan Clay Invitational on an impressive note.

Toeing the line in the event for the second time this season, Goetschl turned in another Outdoor Nationals provisional qualification of 10:46.64. The effort kept her inside the nation's top 15 and was a little more than one and a half seconds from the program record.

In a prior heat to that of her teammate, Audrey Rosencrans offered her best mark of the season in the event at 11:07.31, ending just over six seconds from the Outdoor Nationals provisional standard.

Tomorrow, ART U returns for the second day of the Bryan Clay Invitational and will have its first action in the 63rd Annual Mt. SAC Relays.
