ART U HOSTS VULCANS IN SECOND MEETING OVER MONTH'S TIME

Two games into its four-part Pacific West Conference homestand, Academy of Art women's basketball goes up against UH Hilo this weekend.

Lucia RevengaHolding their top-four spot in the PacWest at 3.3 blocks (third) and 9.0 steals per game (fourth), Academy of Art is led offensively by sophomore guard Alba Rovira Ayuso's 13.6 points per contest (fourth in PacWest) along with her fifth-most 3-pointers made per game (1.7). Averaging 9.2 points per game, freshman guard Lucia Revenga has added 2.4 steals per contest to pace the conference while logging a theft in 11 of her last 12 games.

The PacWest's top 10 in terms of rebounds and blocks per game features the duo of junior forward/center Christy Ojide (6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks) and junior forward Yasmine Sifaoui (6.3 rebounds and 0.8 blocks) with the former rejecting multiple shots in each of her last four contests while the latter comes off a season-high 17 points in her last time out.

Knocking down at least one 3-pointer in nine of her last 10 games, freshman guard Maddie Morrow has pushed up to fourth in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (.339) as well as tying for second in 3-pointers made per game (1.8).

VULCANS' VISIT
After defeating ART U on Jan. 15, UH Hilo dropped three straight, but has since won four in a row, topping Chaminade twice then Biola and Concordia in Hawaii. The Vulcans, fourth in the conference in field goal percentage (.407), begin a four-game homestand this weekend versus Academy of Art. Keirstyn Agonias paces UH Hilo at 12.6 points per game (seventh in PacWest) at a .511 clip (second in PacWest). The matchup between the Knights and Vulcans remains in the former's favor 12-11.

ART U OUTSCORES FPU 18-8 IN THIRD, SUNBIRDS PREVAIL
A double-digit Fresno Pacific lead was cut down considerably during a third-quarter comeback by Academy of Art women's basketball, but one more push in the late stages of the Feb. 10 Pacific West Conference matchup inside Laney College Gym ended with the Sunbirds on top 71-60.

LOOKING AHEAD
Following their lone game this week, ART U will finish its homestand by hosting Dominican on Feb. 22 then head to Fresno Pacific on Feb. 24.
