The Sharks quickly came back with a run-scoring single to make it 3-3 in their half of the third then went ahead 5-3 on two extra-base hits in the sixth. In a must-score situation by the seventh inning, senior outfielder
Cailee Grayhorse-Pupecki legged out her third triple of the season to bring in Folks. Representing the tying run at third base, Grayhorse-Pupecki nearly came home on senior infielder
Katie Humphreys' fly ball to center, but a perfect throw got the game-ending out at home.
GAME 2 – HPU 4, ART U 0
Freshman pitcher
Kayla Vaughan (3-11) dueled with Layla Molina (1-5) through three scoreless innings to start the day's second contest though singles by senior infielder
