"Tonight we made some clutch plays down the stretch to pull off a tough conference road game," said Head Coach Scott Waterman. "Menlo made some good runs and we were able to respond, which is the sign of a good team and I am proud of our guys. As always, there are still areas we can improve in, but this win will keep our momentum going as we head to Hawaii for a key road game."

As the opening frame went back and forth for the first 15 minutes, 11 lead changes would come in that timeframe before the Urban Knights maintained an advantage throughout the closing minutes. Building that lead up to as many as seven at the sound of the buzzer was senior guard Rodney Munson as he buried the 3-pointer from five feet behind the arc to bring the lead to 38-31 by the first half's end. Munson's 14 opening-frame points were the difference for ART U, as the guard drilled 5-of-7 shots from the field while going 4-for-4 from long range.

Quintin MetcalfThroughout the second half, the Knights were cruising as they held a 10-point lead all the way until under four minutes to go, and were looking to put the Oaks away with ease, but Menlo managed to overcome that deficit they previously could not eat into all half long, and completely erased it before the clock ran out. The score would reach a 79-79 deadlock, and a senior guard Treylon Payne mid-range jumper would just rim out to take the game to overtime.

Similar to the second frame, ART U jumped out ahead as they held the lead first in OT which built to as much as five points, but in the final minute Menlo tied it up once again at 89-89 with just 10 seconds left.
