2025 John Thomas Terrier Classic Results (Day 1)
2025 Harvard Invitational Results (Day 1)

In Massachusetts for the pairing of Boston's John Thomas Terrier Classic and the Harvard Invitational on Friday, Academy of Art track & field offered highlights in both meets with Lina Hanich significantly breaking her 800m program record and Ajani Ince delivering the second-fastest 60m in ART U history.

BOSTON, Mass. – The women's day of the John Thomas Terrier Classic inside BU's Tennis & Track Center was a truly memorable one for Hanich, but also featured other NCAA Division II Indoor Nationals provisional qualifications.

Challenging a collection of nearly 150 primarily NCAA DI opponents, Hanich placed 23rd overall with more than a two-second drop from the 800m mark that has topped the Urban Knights' all-time list since last February. The Advertising major went 2:05.41 to break the program record for a fourth consecutive year while rising to second in the country this year. It was also a milestone effort, earning Hanich the fourth spot in DII history. Michaela Andrews also added her name to the Indoor Nationals provisional qualifiers with a 2:12.85 performance that was top 50 on the day and top 30 in the nation thus far.

Both Hanich and Andrews teamed up later in the day, joining Tresley Love and Toni-Ann Lindsay in the 4x400m relay where their combined time of 3:47.89 marked the first Indoor Nationals provisional qualification for the ART U women this season and opened at 18th in NCAA DII.

Lindsay shined individually as well, battling multiple opponents from Harvard and Simon Fraser in the 200m dash. At 24.07, the native of Portmore, Jamaica matched her current season-best converted time that ranks fifth in the nation.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Debuting at Gordon Indoor Track on Friday, Academy of Art looked to Ince for a pair of dominant 60m dashes.

Ince, who came into the weekend among the country's top 25, proceeded to run the two fastest times of his collegiate career in the prelims and final of the 60m. First in the opening round, the Architecture major went 6.70 for the top spot of 21 competitors by 0.07 seconds, but he did not stop there. The six others alongside Ince in the final were left behind with his new personal record 6.67 powering him across the finish line into fourth among Indoor Nationals provisional qualifiers and second in ART U history.

The first race for Tre'Sean Bouie in an Urban Knights jersey featured a first-place finish for the newcomer as he topped nine others with a 49.59 in the 400m.

Both the John Thomas Terrier Classic and Harvard Invitational will conclude tomorrow.
