2025 FastTrack Last Chance Invitational Results
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – In the first of two meets to close out the indoor regular season this weekend, Academy of Art track & field had multiple standout efforts come from Urban Knights in the 800m and triple jump at the FastTrack Last Chance Invitational on Friday.
Continuing to drop her time in the 800m with her third consecutive faster time,
Michaela Andrews went 2:12.16 to return to the top 40 in the country as an Indoor Nationals provisional qualifier. She crossed the finish line second among the 24 runners on the day.
The men's 800m also had a season-best performance come from
Ethan Forbes who bettered his previous Indoor Nationals provisional mark with another at 1:51.46. The effort put him first of 46 overall on the afternoon, kept him among the top 45 in the nation, and rose him to third in ART U history.
On her third triple jump attempt,
Jaylen Walker delivered her best distance of the season, going 38-10.25 (11.84m) for not only fourth of 14 jumpers on Friday, but a top-40 Indoor Nationals provisional among the top portion of the country.
Lina Hanich's 56.50 effort in the 400m marked her second Indoor Nationals provisional mark in the event in her last two tries. Though it was not better than the 55.88 that has her among the nation's top 50, the performance still put her fourth of 17 on the day.
Urban Knights went one through three in the men's 400m as
Tre'Sean Bouie (48.48),
Kailen Perry (48.96), and
Tariq Dacres (49.49) topped the 45-runner field. Bouie found himself very near to the Indoor Nationals provisional threshold with his performance.
In the championship segment of the women's 60m,
Juvonna Cornette qualified to the final with a 7.73 runner-up finish out of 32 in the prelims before dropping to 7.69 for third against seven others in the last round. She ended up just off the Indoor Nationals provisional standard.
The Knights will have their final opportunity to reach Indoor Nationals this Sunday as the Last Chance Indoor National Qualifier comes their way on Mar. 2 in Boston.
