Biography

2016: Had the best year of his career in 2016...was named PacWest Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 25...led the pitching staff with 14 starts and a 4.78 earned run average, tied the team lead with three complete games...posted the second-most innings-pitched and the most of his collegiate career (86.2) and the fourth-best batting average against (.292).

2015: Named to the 2014-15 Academic All-PacWest Team...appeared in 18 games while making seven starts and tossing one complete game...in 68.0 innings pitched recorded 32 strikeouts while allowing 19 walks.

2014: Named to the 2013-14 Academic All-PacWest Team...made 12 appearances and his first three starts as an Urban Knight...allowed 33 hits in 29.0 innings pitched and struck out four while walking nine.

Otay Ranch High School: Kuisel was a two-year letterwinner in baseball at Otay Ranch High School...had a 9-2 record as a starting pitcher for his high school, along with two saves...finished high school on the Principal Honor Roll.

Personal: Alexander Kuisel was born on October 16, 1995...from Chula Vista, Calif...parents are Virginia Escobedo and Harold Kuisel...has three siblings: Steven, Angel and Ashley.
