Mike Keller

Mike Keller enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Academy of Art University men’s soccer program.

Keller comes to the Urban Knights with a background that includes several years of soccer coaching experience following his seasons as a student-athlete. He served as the assistant coach at Cañada College for six years and helped guide the Colts to playoffs three different occasions. Keller was also the head coach at San Mateo High School for two years which included a Division Championship in 2008.

Prior to coaching at Cañada College, Keller played soccer as a student there under coaches Frank Mangiola and Kurt Devlin. In his freshman year as a Colt, he competed in the State Final Game and was an integral part of the team that placed fifth in the nation. He also received All-West honors that year as well. In his second year at Cañada, Keller captured team MVP.

Keller, a native of San Carlos, California, graduated from UC Davis in 2003 and earned his Masters in Kinesiology from San Jose State in 2005. He currently resides in Palo Alto.
