Academy of Art University Athletics

Jason Urso enters his second year as Academy of Art University Spirit Coordinator for the Cheer/Dance team.

Urso, who is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, received his Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications from Hawai’i Pacific University. He has a background in gymnastics and has been cheering for the past 10 years. He is an NCA Head Instructor and has coached for several high school, all-star and college programs through out the county including, Penn State University All Girl Club Cheerleading, Cheer Tyme All Stars and Stroudsburg High School.

Jason’s collegiate cheerleading career started at Elmira College in Elmira New York on the small co-ed team. Later transferred to HPU to finish his college academics and further his cheer experience with the HPU Sea Warriors.
