Glen Worley

With an array of coaching experience under his belt, Worley joined ART U in September 2016, most recently serving as the head coach for the Compton Magic from 2013-2016. There, he helped market the team while also helping supervise and prep the student-athletes for college athletics.
 
From July 2011 until March 2014, Worley served as the head boys’ varsity basketball coach at Junipero Serra High School in San Diego. In 2014, he led the team to an Eastern League Championship for the first time in eight years. The Conquistadors claimed the title with an 8-2 conference record. During his three-year tenure, Worley made the postseason all three seasons while posting a 47-37 record. Until he took over as the varsity head coach, Worley also spent two season as the head coach of the junior varsity squad which he led to back-to-back CIF San Diego Section Division II Championships. His team was also ranked No. 1 in the state of California in 2011.
 
Before his coaching years, the Iowa City, Iowa native starred at Iowa West High School where he received several accolades during his senior season (2000). These include: being named Mr. Basketball State of Iowa, Gatorade Player of the Year, USA Today Player of the Year/All-American, and was ranked within the top 30 in the nation. After graduating, Worley attended University of Iowa. Playing all four years, his best season came his junior year when he averaged 10.9 points, 1.5 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game. He was also a third-team All-Big Ten Conference member, reached the 1,000-point club, and ranks in the top 10 all-time for the Hawkeyes in career blocks.
