Guy Shinsato

Guy Shinsato started as Academy of Art University softball director of operations in September 2019 after beginning as a volunteer with the program in February 2019.

Carrying coaching experience at the travel club, high school, junior college, and university level, Shinsato was as assistant coach at Contra Costa College for his second year in 2018. Prior to Contra Costa, Shinsato served as an assistant coach at Hercules High School in 2017, a year that the Titans far surpassed the national average with 82 stolen bases.

In Hawaii, Shinsato had various coaching assignments at the Punahou School from 2005-2011 before working as a varsity assistant coach at Kaiser High School in 2013. At the club level, Shinsato has coached the NorCal Blast from 2015 to 2019 and was part of staffs with the Hookela, Hurricanes, and Kamikaze’s Softball Clubs in Honolulu, Hawaii from 2004-2013.

Shinsato earned his master's degree in Business from the University of Hawaii after his bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.
