Academy of Art University Athletics

Gwen Kagaoan began as an Academy of Art University Softball volunteer assistant coach in January 2011. 

Kagaoan previously served as the University of Hawaii - Hilo co-director of academic services and a volunteer assistant softball coach for the Vulcans. She was the interim head softball coach from August 1, 2009 through April 12, 2010.

Before her time at Hawaii-Hilo, Kagaoan worked as a client services manager for Uniprise, a division of United Healthcare from 2001-06, while continuing her coaching career as a Junior Olympic coach for ages 14U-18U.

Kagaoan earned her Masters of Arts in Sports and Fitness Management from the University of San Francisco in 2000 and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from San Francisco State University in 1998.
