Breanna Workman joined the Academy of Art University women's basketball staff as an assistant coach in September 2017.
Workman comes to the Urban Knights staff after playing for the University of Arizona for four years. She played in 106 of 114 games in her Wildcat career, becoming a regular starter by the end of her sophomore year. As a senior, she averaged career-highs of 8.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while putting up three double-doubles. She tied her career-high with 17 points against Oregon State.
She graduated in May of 2017 with Bachelor of Science in Care, Health, and Society. She was named Second Team All-State in her junior year and First Team All-District her sophomore and junior years.
Beyond the basketball court, Workman has served as a multi-year mentor for Delta Academy and the Tucson Boys & Girls Club, guiding youth in healthy problem-solving and developing leadership qualities. She also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Diamond's Children Center. Her father, Haywoode Workman, is a retired point guard who played for various NBA teams and currently serves as a NBA referee and is going on his 12th season.
