Farryn Lewis enters her second season as Sports Information Coordinator at the Academy of Art University.
Upon graduation and prior to joining the Academy of Art, Lewis worked in various fields ranging from sports marketing, event marketing, coaching, being a residential counselor for under-privileged youth and was the director of basketball for the Bay Area Senior Olympic games.
Lewis, a Bay Area native, played one season, 2003-04, at San Diego State University, under then head coach Jim Tomey. After the 03-04 season Lewis returned to the Bay Area where she spent two seasons at San Francisco State from 2004-06, where she finished her career. Lewis, a team captain at SFSU, was named first team all-conference her senior year, finished 7th overall in the CCAA in scoring (14.3) and 10th overall in steals (2.07) and field goal percentage (44.9).
A 2006 graduate of San Francisco State with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications, Lewis also competed for one year at Diablo Valley College prior to transferring to San Diego State. Lewis currently resides in San Francisco and plans to attend the University of San Francisco to get her Masters Degree in Sports Management.
