Academy of Art University Athletics

Andrea Nieto enters her first year as a student assistant for the Academy of Art women's golf team after playing four seasons for the Urban Knights.

Nieto, a native of Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, was one of the original Urban Knights when the women's golf program was formed in 2009. Exhibiting a strong work ethic and dedication to both the classroom and on the course, Nieto competed in over 40 tournaments with ART U and shot a career low in round (72) and total (148) while earning her highest finish (T9) at the 2010 Grand Canyon Invitational.

Nieto earned a prestigious internship with BCBGMAXAZARIAGROUP, a global fashion house, at the 2013 Academy of Art University Graduate Fashion Show and will be continuing her education in the School of Fashion Design while serving as an Urban Knights student assistant.
