Michele Larkey

Michele Larkey enters her third year as the Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach bringing over 15 years of playing and teaching experience to the Academy of Art University golf program.

Prior to joining the Urban Knights, Larkey served as the Women’s Golf Coach at Sonoma State University. In just two years with the team, Larkey led the Seawolves to a ranking of 15th in the nation and their first ever appearance in the Western Regional Championships. Larkey’s first collegiate golf coaching experience came in 1999 where she was the Assistant Women’s Golf Coach under Nancy McDaniel at the University of California, Berkeley.

A proud Bay Area native, Larkey is a graduate of the University of San Francisco and San Francisco State University. Larkey has been a competitive golfer since she was nine years old competing in numerous tournaments as a junior on through competing professionally on the Player West and Futures mini tours.

In addition to coaching, Larkey is a teaching professional at Adobe Creek Golf Course in Petaluma, California. When she is not on the golf course, Larkey can be found designing and developing websites for clients and enjoying her family in Sonoma County.
