Sebastian Marot began his first year with Academy of Art University women's tennis in September 2015.

Marot brings a unique background both in tennis and art as he was ranked tennis singles No. 1 in Mauritius and also earned the 1st Place Award for the Best Desktop Calendar with his design at the 18th Exhibition of the Most Beautiful Calendars and Christmas Cards.

His coaching career includes stops at the Roxbury Tennis Club (tennis pro coach), Camp Robindel (tennis coach), Country Club of Darien (Pro-am player), Leimen Club Tennis (pro player), and a series of private coaching work.

An international tennis star, Marot was chosen to captain the Mauritian Davis Cup Team in 2005 and, in his career, collected three championships and seven vice-championships titles. He also captained the Campbellsville University men's tennis team from 2012-15, earning over 100 wins across singles and doubles there. Marot's 20-5 record gained him NCCAA National Champion honors in 2015 and he would earn ITA East Region Senior Player of the Year that season. He was a two-time NAIA All-American First Team Award earner and three-time NCCAA All-American First Team Award recipient.

An artist-athlete in his own right and three-time Academic All Mid-South Conference, Marot graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design with an emphasis in Animation and a minor in Computer Science from Campbellsville University in 2015.Â
