The Urban Knights will be led by five seniors including the likes of
Natalie Gabriel,
Laura Mick,
Makayla Godden,
Aly Morgan, and
Maddie Shelton. Shelton and Gabriel are the two longest tenured players on the team, as they were both recruited to ART U out of high school. The five senior Knights will look to draw upon their experience and lead by example as they compete in their final season.
Â

Academy of Art also welcomes six incoming players for their 2016 campaign.
Casey Childers,
Chayney Mata, and
Dani Tellez were the first to be announced (
press release)Â and
Abi Chavez,
Jenny Wittor, and
Mikayla Lopez followed soon after (
press release). The recruiting class will help fortify the team's defensive style of play as four of the six newcomers specialize in the backfield.
Â
Be sure to tune in this season as women's soccer aims to make a name for themselves in the PacWest.
