Running strong in the first cross country meet of the season for Academy of Art, senior Grace Southern secured a third place finish with one of the fastest 5k times in program history on Sept. 7 at Woodward Park.

Returning to the site of the 2023 Pacific West Conference Championships, a meet that saw her finish inside the top 10 last October, Southern delivered a 18:38.34 mark that put her not only third of 74 runners on the day, but also fourth in ART U history.
