FRESNO, Calif. – Highlighting the Seawolf Invitational, Academy of Art cross country's first meet of the season, senior
Grace Southern finished third overall with one of the fastest 5k times in program history on Saturday at Woodward Park.
Southern and the Urban Knights returned to the site of the 2023 Pacific West Conference Championships, a meet that saw her finish inside the top 10
last October, and on this occasion she delivered a 18:38.34 mark that put her not only third of 74 on the day, but also fourth in ART U history. Fellow senior
Michaela Andrews followed in 43rd overall with a time of 21:39.94.
In the men's four-mile run, junior
Vaughn Lacour placed 65th at 25:40.28 while junior
Taj-Leon Wisdom went 30:04.14 to take 84th overall.
When ART U returns to action next, it will be for Stanislaus State's Kim Duyst Twilight on Sept. 14.
