Saving her best day for the last of the regular season, Academy of Art’s Lina Hanich once again enjoyed history at the Last Chance Indoor National Qualifier on Mar. 2.

The Advertising major delivered the fourth-fastest 800m mark NCAA Division II has ever seen with a 2:04.49 that also broke her own program record for the fifth time in her career. Hanging with multiple professional athletes in her heat, Hanich returned to second among Indoor Nationals provisional qualifiers.

In addition to her success in the 800m, Hanich also became ART U’s record holder in the 500m which featured a 1:12.36 time that elevated her to third in NCAA DII history.
