Excelling both individually and as part of Academy of Art men's track & field's 4x400m relay, Robin Black saved multiple regular season bests for the last week of the regular season.

In Cal State Fullerton's Titan Tune-Up on May 9, the Music Production & Sound Design for Visual Media major posted a 50.90 in the 400m hurdles to take over the fifth spot among Outdoor Nationals provisional qualifiers. Black then proceeded to contribute to the Urban Knights' second-fastest 4x400m relay mark ever at the Franson Last Chance on May 10. He joined Tre'Sean Bouie, Tariq Dacres, and Josh Marlin in delivering a 3:07.19 effort, the program's quickest in the last two years, that boosted ART U up to fourth in the country this year.
