For the third consecutive game this season, sophomore forward Alisa Griggs led the Urban Knights offensively. Griggs posted 14 points (12 in the second half) in Academy of Art University's lone game of the week against Cal State Monterey Bay. In the second period, the Milwaukie, OR native was determined to get to the free throw line (where she was 6-of-8) and she would also finish with five rebounds, two assists, one block, and one assist.
Head coach LaNay Larson called Griggs the team's "glue" after the sophomore's continued efforts as a vocal leader.
“We've got to be able to keep Alisa on the floor,” Coach Larson said. “She's been our rock and our glue especially from an energy standpoint so we really need to keep her out of foul trouble.”
